From an early age, I have always wanted to be a healthcare professional because of my love for the sciences and my caring nature. Dentistry has proved to be the perfect career for me, combining clinical challenges and continuous professional development with the opportunity to build meaningful relationships with my patients. I am passionate about providing individualised care and continually developing my skills through postgraduate education.

After qualifying from Guy’s Hospital in 1995, I moved to Brighton, where I completed twelve months of Vocational Training in a dental practice with a particular focus on oral surgery, often involving intravenous (IV) sedation.

I subsequently spent four years working as a dental associate in family based dental practices across Brighton and Hove. Having gained broad experience in both NHS and private dentistry, I decided to further develop my interest in oral surgery. I spent a year at King’s College Hospital, London, working in the Oral Surgery and Maxillofacial Department, treating emergency cases and patients referred by other dental practitioners.

During this time, I completed my MFDS qualification and became a Member of the Royal College of Surgeons.

One of the most rewarding aspects of my work is helping nervous and anxious patients overcome their fears and feel comfortable receiving dental treatment. I firmly believe that taking the time to listen, understand individual concerns and build trust is essential to achieving the best possible outcomes. While a calm, gentle and reassuring approach is often enough, I also offer IV sedation to help patients who require additional support to undergo treatment comfortably. I welcome referrals from fellow dental practitioners for patients requiring IV sedation, providing a supportive and carefully tailored approach to their treatment.

I provide a comprehensive range of general dental treatments for adults and children, including preventive care, cosmetic dentistry and implant restoration.

I also undertake oral surgery cases referred by local dentists.

I believe in complete patient care and rarely need to refer my patients elsewhere other than for Specialist Care that I do not provide.

I also welcome referrals for therapeutic Botox treatment, including masseter muscle injections for patients experiencing jaw clenching, teeth grinding (bruxism), jaw ache, headaches/migraines where clinically appropriate.

Alongside therapeutic treatments, I also provide anti-wrinkle injections for facial aesthetics, helping patients achieve a refreshed, natural-looking appearance through a personalised approach that takes account of their individual concerns and goals.

For both the therapeutic and aesthetic treatments, I provide a free consultation during which time I assess each patient individually to determine whether this treatment may be suitable and discuss the potential benefits, limitations and alternatives.

I am also passionate about protecting teeth from injury during contact sports. Over the years, I have worked with local schools and Professional Rugby clubs to provide custom-made mouthguards for both adults and children. I continue to offer this service, and patients are welcome to contact the practice for further information.

Outside of dentistry, I am a proud mum to my two gorgeous boys and a committed hockey player, having played for Brighton and Hove Hockey Club for several years.
